LPN Jobs in Atlanta

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hi all, I attempted to find threads similar to this, but nearly all of them are several years old.

I am a LVN living and working in the central coast of CA but due to the high cost of living and desire for a change, I have set my sights on GA and Atlanta.

I obtained my GA LPN license by endorsement a few months ago. I see that there are open positions and opportunities, but I had a few questions:

I don't know anyone in GA, so should I move there first and then seek employment? Or are employers willing to consider out-of-state applicants? I have a little over a year's experience in a SNF here so I would be looking at SNFs in the Atlanta metro area. Is it easy to find work as a LPN in Atlanta?

The pay here for LVNs is 20 and up depending on experience. I'm prepared to take a few dollars pay cut per hour but I wasn't sure what the typical ATL SNF LPN wage was?

I really want to set permanent roots down over there and hopefully make a positive impact on life for the people of Atlanta. I plan to obtain my RN license in the coming future and will go from there. Any help/suggestions/places to apply at are much appreciated!

You wont have a problem finding a job working in a SNF here. Depending on the area and skill level(LTAC) depends on your pay. Also Home health and hospice pays well for LPN's. UHS pruitt, golden living are a few examples

LVNbayarea: I'm going to become an LPN soon, but you, I am also from out of state. I am going to be moving to Atlanta with my fiance. How hard was it to get your license endorsed?

It wasn't hard at all. Just download an endorsement application from the GA sos website and follow the instructions. If you have all your paperwork ready it shouldn't take longer than a month or so.

Thanks so much for your help!
