I attend one of the oldest and only hospital based nursing school in Miami,fl. I decided to do LPN to gain experience and save $$ for RN program. Well now I am in a dilemma because I graduate this Friday and I need a job ASAP!!!! I can't seem to find anything that doesn't ask for experience, and I am not even being picky! I found some jobs as Clinical partners ( whatever that means) well long story short can someone please give me some pointers on Resume, Interview, and who will even hire me. I am taking my board in about 2-3 weeks and I need to be full prepared with this job situation
My dream is mommy/baby,but I liked med-surg also, or a LTC or even home health at night I heard they pay well. I will do anything after being dirt poor for an entire year. I just need help and ADVICE:cry:. Any info is much appreciated!
Thanks
Stephanie

Do hospitals in your area hire LPNs regularly? I'm not asking that in a snarky way, just to be clear. I know the hospitals in my area have phased out LPNs and that's why I'm asking.
Yes, they do. My sister is an LPN and she works in the #1 hospital here, however she works in research but still its a job! I have found a couple of jobs and something called clinical partner 2 which in the job description it says they want a cna or an RN student to work under the RN's supervision... and it includes doing wound care. That sounds like an LPN to me. So to answer your question, Yes they do hire. I am open to have one or two night shifts in home health though. I'm not being picky
