is it possible to work as an LPN with an RN license

Depends where you work. Some states as soon as you get your RN license your previous (LVN) license is inactive. Other states, like here in Texas, both are active as long as you pay to keep them (active).
So yes you can work as an LVN, but if you have passed the NCLEX-RN you will be held to the highest standard of whatever title you posses. So if you plan on taking a job as an LVN but you are now an RN, think twice about it & keep your malpractice insurance up to date.

Can you? Probably. Is it advisable? Not in my opinion. Your job description is going to hold you to the level of an LPN. The BON is going to hold you to the educational level and responsibility of your highest licensure- RN. This can lead to possible situations where you must choose to risk your job by acting at the level of an RN or risk your RN license by not acting as a prudent RN would.
