LPN - how to get this taken off of the registry

I have been a nurse for 14 years and I have never been in any trouble or had any issues with my nursing license.   I just got a call from the new job I just got and the HR lady said she was confused about something.  She said I ran your nursing license and you are not under any board action at all, but she said she checked the nurse aide registery and that my name is on it.  I went to nursing school 11-2009 to 10-2010. She said the incident happened in August 2009.  I worked in an automotive plant at that time and I had already told them I would be leaving in November due to starting nursing school.  I am just devastated about this.  It's a mistake that needs fixed NOW.  I need some help here on what to do and how do I get this removed?  I have never been notified by nursing board about this either.   This is the first I have ever heard about it, was today.  I have been working in LONG TERM CARE and no one has said anything to me about this.  Why am I just now finding out about this?   I need to know how to get this taken off of the registry now!!  I have never in my life done anything like this I am so mad right now.  Help, plz

Many states nurse aide registry is online. Check your states, could be a different person with same name. Unless there is an action listed on the registry, nothing to worry about.  Contact your state legislator for help if this appears to be in error to see if they can help resolve issue.
