Back in the summer of 2004, the LVN entrance exam that I took was called the TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education). It tested the applicants on basic writing, vocabulary, grammar, and math skills such as fractions, decimals, and percentages. This was for a private trade school in the Los Angeles area.

Go to your local library. They have a review book, not sure what it's called, but your librarian should know. It has tons of practice questions in the book and on the cd that comes with it.

Brush up on basic algerbra. Knowing how to divide equations with variable will help. 5x-15x/5=x-3x etc. and know how to distribute 2x(x + 5x^2) +3x= (2x^2 + 10x^3) + 3x.
Shows you I need some review too, I had to edit those post like 4 times hahaha.
There were only a couple on the test I took... but you never know you might get more than I did.
thanks. do you think it is worth it to buy the book. last time i took the test, i studied everything that wasnt on the test. if you have been out of school for a while that stuff does not come easy. I was never good in math.
Go to library first! Those books are rid. expensive.
