LPN coming to Fort Campbell, KY area as CIVILIAN

Hello All,

I am an LPN who just exited the US Army (say...yay) and I will be moving to the Fort Campbell area by July 2006.

My wife and I are looking for best places to live.

Additionally...what are good agency contact numbers in that area? Hospitals to avoid? Best places to work? Looks like Nashville (Grrrr...one hour commute...) is the nearest big area.

Thoughts? Advice?

An email response is appreciated.

Clarksville is a pretty nice area, it has grown alot in the last couple of years my husband was sationed there till he went to ranger school then we moved to ft.lewis. have you tried calling the hospital on base you might be able to work there.. there has to be something close by instead of having to commute to nashville ughhh thats a long drive goodluck I hope this helps.. I think you will be happy there! Look in the clarksville newspaper it might give you an idea whats available

Well there is a hospital in Hopkinsville called Jenny Stuart (don't know much about them), also the psychiatric hospital in Hopkinsville, Western Baptist and Lourdes in Paducah, KY and Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, KY. Starting pay for nurses in this area of Kentucky is not very high. So you might have to go for that hour long drive to Nashville, TN. Whatever you decide to do I wish you and your wife luck.
