hello Folks, I am currently an LPN in CA and in the process of moving to IL. I would like to get my license endorsed to IL, I am quite stressed about the process and confused about the steps. Can someone please reiterate to me the process?? My license is Active here in CA. and the lady I spoke ton via phone when I contacted Board of Nursing in Springfield, Il states that I do not need to take the boards again since I have taken it before and my license remains Active.
I am stressing about the move and getting my license endorsed. please help!

The agency responsible for licensure in IL is the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation (IDPFR).
State of Illinois | Department of Financial & Professional Regulation
You should be able to find the information you need regarding licensure by endorsement here. IL is notoriously slow in processing paperwork, so it might be a good idea to start the process as far in advance of your move as possible. IL is not a compact state, and doesn't participate in NURSYS, to my knowledge.
Good luck!

Go onto the Illinois board of nursing website and navigate to the part regarding licensure and endorsement. All the steps And requirements should be listed. Good luck to you. It isn't hard, just sometimes time consuming especially when our initial license is from California.
