Hello!! Just wondering if there are others on here who are starting the LPN program at Baker College of Auburn Hills in September 2012? I'd love to say Hi! :)

I'm also wondering if anyone knows of any books we can purchase ahead to start reading? I've emailed Baker but haven't heard back. Just thought I'd get a jump on it in August.

Can't wait for orientation!

I start the Clinton township RN program September 24th . It took a lot to get accepted, but I am sure it will be worth it! I was told we would get a list of books on the 13th at orientation which was when we would be registered for our classes and assigned our clinical times etc. You can pick up books as soon as Sept 4th from the book store as long as you know your classes. I looked in the bookstore section of Star, under where you can see all books required for all classes. I ordered books from Amazon based on the list of NUR books for the fall semester and saved about $90. Only two books were cheaper at the Baker bookstore, so I'll get those there. Also, my husband and I had a lot of American Express membership reward points saved up, and I was actually able to use those towards my Amazon purchase and saved another $186! That won't help everybody if they don't use AMEX, but I thought it was worth passing along in case it helps somebody.

I can't wait to get info on scrubs, stethoscope, etc. I'd love to be able to order that stuff ahead but orientation is so close to our start date!
