Hello! I wanted to create this thread for updates for those applying to the Loyola University New Orleans CRNA program for Fall 2025. The application is due December 15th. I'm nervous, but excited!
Verseddreams said:Does anyone know where we send CCRN scores to? NursingCAS said they would be requested if invited to interview, just making sure I didn't miss any communication.
I would just email them. Or hold it for your interview. You had to upload to NursingCAS with the application.
Can anyone help direct me where to find information regarding the curriculum (like what does hybrid mean to them because it means different things at different schools), the DNP project, clinical sites, faculty (other than the two program director bios on the website)?
I emailed and am waiting to hear back. But I realized there will not be any sort of presentation prior to the interviews and I feel like I'm walking into this with very limited information and I feel slightly uneasy about it.
I also just want to make sure that I am not completely missing it (bc it is possible) on the website. I just keep getting directed to NursingCAS, and even there, I am finding very little information. Thanks!
Part of me would like to think that they intentionally want us to go in somewhat blind to assess how we answer their questions and maybe even what questions we will have for them, such as more details in their program structure. Either way, it is what it is and I'm both excited and nervous.

What site was this on? I didn't see anything

When I attended the in person open house, they said interviews are very clinically heavy.

Oh dear.. thank you! I didn't attend open house. Was there anything from open house you can share that was interesting as far as clinical sites etc?
They hosted several online open houses and an in person open house as well. It is a new program so there is limited information online, but they were open and honest with the information that they provided at these sessions. Current students were there as well, and they offered insight into the process and the program. The first cohort started in August of 2023 so there is no attrition rates or data yet. It will be published after they graduate in August of 2026.
1) Hybrid means that you will be required to move to NOLA in August of your accepting year, but your classes will be online. You will be required to attend in person meetings throughout the semester. The second semester you start in person with your anesthesia classes.
2) Interviews seem to be based on pathophysiology, pharmacology and EI questions. Students hinted at knowing your own unit that you work on/ are familiar with. You will guide your interview.
3) 24 students will be admitted regardless of being in the dual or not.
4) Clinical sites are all over the New Orleans/ Baton Rouge area with the farthest site being in Lafayette.
5) At the open house the program director, the assistant director and another anesthesia faculty member were there. They said that all the anesthesia classes will be taught by one of them, but non-anesthesia courses will be taught by other faculty of Loyola.
6) This is an integrated program. Clinical rotations start the first semester of year 2.
Good luck everyone with your interview!

Congratulations to all those invited for the interview. Does anyone know the format of their interview by any chance?
