Hi all...

Last week I had a urinary tract infection, no fever. A doctor put me on Levaquin for it. That was on Wednesday. Sunday I had done my 2 mile walk in the morning, and added some jogging. Sunday evening, I noticed that both of my lower legs from about the knees down, there is a heavy petechiae. It's still there today (Tuesday). Any ideas?..Thanks.

sooooo weird that I posted with the same subject line last week. Could be an allergic reaction to the Levaquin? Don't really know.

The Quinolone (Cipro, Levaquin etc.) family of antibiotics have been known to cause rashes, petechiae, and even Steven-Johnson's syndrome.

Eliza, did you ever find out what caused your petechiae?
