Lost friendships during nursing school

Nursing school is hard enough, but I have lost almost every “friend” during nursing school. It started with them making plans and excluding me. Then when I would get invited and they’d make me feel left out. We are all adults but it feels so crappy to constantly try to make an effort with people who don’t care to reciprocate.
Now it’s advanced to them making up rumors about me, twisting and manipulating situations to make me the bad guy.
If I distance myself they say I’m a b!tch because I don’t hangout. If I hangout they gang up on me and make me feel bad for not fitting in with them because I’m not out every weekend like they are.

Anyone with a similar experience?

All kidding aside, you need new friends. They sound like a pack of mean girls. Are they really worth all your angst? Focus on school for now and treat their antics like you would a buzzing mosquito. Once school is over join a club or a group that interests you and start over. Once you're a nurse your perspective will likely change and you will realize that nobody has time for that kind of drama.

Haha!! Thanks!! You’re right, I’ve been pretty good with focusing on what matters but this was a long weekend.
