Los Medanos Fall 2012

Published

Is there anybody going out to Los Medanos next Wednesday afternoon that would be willing to PM a pic of the list? I can't make it out there and would like to know whether or not I got in. If you wouldn't mind, please let me know. Thanks!!:D

Anyone out there have any views or comments about LMC's nursing program??

Go to the thread Los Medanos for Fall 2011, ask DReinerMBA she is currently in the program so she would be the one to get the best info about the program.

I saw your new thread for the 2012. LMC has a great program. Merritt has 100% pass rate for NCLEX but many issues...from what we have continued to hear. I do know, LMC has a great reputuation with all its clinical facilities and is highly respected. We have a great class that really supports each other. I love the program. There is a new first year instructor we have not met, as the lead first year instructor retired after 19 years. But, the rest are wonderful. It is alot of work, but well worth it. Good luck to those accepted. Anyone trying to transition in from LVN to RN, I believe we only had 4 or 5 positions open up. I think they are only going up to 40 for 2nd years, but that may change once they confirm funding. We ended up with 35 or 36 passing. We had started out with 44 and lost 8 in first semester. I am not 100% sure but we may have lost 1 after 2nd.

P.S. Those who have been accepted and passed the TEAS....your will receive a flyer/invitation to the Meet and Greet put on by the 2nd years in your honor. July 14th...see the flyer for where... Hope to see you there

I wonder when we will hear back about the funding? Has there been any word about the funding yet? Is it supposed to be a grant the school is getting?

Have not heard as yet. They have alot going on. The nursing department was supposed to move to the new building this week and it has been delayed again. I am sure they will know by the time everyone takes the TEAS.
