Anyone applying to Los Angeles Valley College Nursing program for Fall 2017??? Lets keep eachother updated (:
mimili20, try to not be negative, I know its hard trust me, I was getting rejection emails left and right but I tried hard to remain positive and wham I got informed I was selected at valley. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, I applied to schools all over la county and some are pretty far but I didn't care and the funny thing is the school that selected me is a lot closer than some of the other schools I applied to so it worked out for me :)
Don't give up hope, everything will work out for you:)
I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just letting the people (who are waiting like me) know what's going on. It's nice to say don't give up hope but the fact is they are almost done calling people. As I said I'm going to lattc in spring but still very disappointed that i did not get in for fall but congrats to all of you that got in as LAVC is a very good program. Demetria 30, what school did you apply to? I remember you from harbor and pierce forums!
mimili20, I understand:)
I applied to COC, Glendale, Pierce, ELAC, LATTC, LA county, Moorepark, and LA Valley.
I applied to LATTC back in December in was going to attend there spring if I hadn't gotten into another school. I tried to apply to as much schools as possible to increase my chances in getting into a school this fall but I was fine with starting spring 2018 :) LATTC is a good school and I love how supportive their staff is:) I did all my pre reqs at COC and they are nothing like LATTC or any of the other LA schools that I have applied to, its like they have more programs to offer students to be more successful. I remember attending LATTC information session and hearing about the TEAS Prep course, I thought dang wouldn't that have been great.
girl1984, hey there, I logged on to canvas in printed the syllabus and log sheet but that is about it, the introduction discussion post isn't available til the 15th. Did you get the email with the list of books and stuff, gosh that list is so long !! Do you have any idea about which clinical sites they use, because it mentioned that we need to get to the orientation early to pick clinical sites but I don't have a clue which sites would be better than the other?
