Members are discussing receiving calls and emails from LAVC regarding their TEAS scores for the nursing program. Some members have received acceptance notifications after providing their scores, while others are still waiting for updates. There is speculation about acceptance being based on a lottery system and concerns about potential rejection letters.
Hello everyone,
I started this forum so that we can keep each other updated on the status of the application for Fall 2025 for LAVC.
Im aware that applications will officially open on April 1st but either what I wanted to start this forum beforehand to ask and answer each other on any topic related to the program:)

I want to deeply apologise to everyone I mistakenly posted my acceptance on this forum. I was actually accepted to LACC to which I also applied to. I was just so excited that I didn't notice I posted my comment on the wrong college forum. LAVC hasn't sent me anything yet:( again I'm so sorry, it was such a stupid mistake🤦♀️

Thanks for that info.!
Did you send your TEAS scores in?
I never did because I thought they would contact us first.
@LNZ
I have not sent in my TEAS score yet. On the LAVC nursing application, it just asked if I took the TEAS and if I passed, to both of which I answered yes. After reading some forums about the LAVC nursing program here, LAVC will contact you via phone to ask you to send in your TEAS score.
Also, just a FYI (you probably already know this and it might be of some help), the dean said that the prospective nursing students must meet the chancellor's cut score (80 & above) and pass the TEAS with a minimum of 62%. If you meet these requirements, then your name will be put in the lottery.
Haha yes I figured this was an LACC acceptance as you were responding to someone who also got accepted to LACC. and its okay no need to apologize! Congratulations for your acceptance, future nurse!!

Okay, thank you! Yes, I answered yes to both questions as well on the application.

I got an acceptance email from lacc not lavc but I was told by lavc counselors that they do take awhile tho and usually send out acceptances later compared to other ccs!
