Hi there! I just wanted to start this forum for any students who may have applied to Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC) fall 2024 cohort.

Also, they never asked me to send in my TEAS since I took it in February and sent it as soon as I got my scores.. im wondering if thats the reason why I never got an email asking for my scores.

My TEAS score wasn't the best...I could not understand English.. it was my lowest score. I got a 74% overall but I have a 3.5 GPA and a CNA license. Im hoping you guys can share your scores with me(:!

I got 83% and a 4.0 GPA but no experience.

I got off the phone with the nursing department at LAVC and the kind gentleman told me that they are still sending out acceptances and denial emails. He said if we do not hear from them by July 8th we should give them a callback. LAVC will send out acceptances and rejections so whether we get in or not we should have some closure.

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me. I received a call from LAVC's nursing department asking for my TEAS exam score a few days ago, but I was never told whether I am in or not. I remember being told during the advisement meetings that we will only receive a call asking for our TEAS score if we were selected but now I'm unsure and worried since I wasn't told whether I got a spot or not. I'm anxiously waiting since Valley is a program I would really love to be accepted into so I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing the same. Thank you!

Hello! They said if you get a call to send in your TEAS you are accepted? Well I received a call early June to send in my TEAS and this morning I received a denial letter 😞 BUT hopefully your outcome is more favorable than mine. Good Luck!

Hello! I just received my denial letter as well ☹️ I believe I might've misheard & just had incorrect information regarding the TEAS score. Last semester I applied & never received a call about the score & was just sent a rejection letter so when I got the call this semester I got really excited thinking that was good news. Unfortunately it wasn't, but that's okay. I'm wishing you good luck in regards to your journey! 😊

It's all good! At the end of the day this setback just makes us better nurses at the end. Which we will become no matter which program 🙂

Hi there! For those accepted did any of you have a C in the core sciences? I have a C in anatomy, a B in physio, and an A in micro. I'm trying to apply to as many ADN programs as I can to avoid the high tuition prices of a private school!

Thank you for the info! Does the application ask for previous experience or do we just submit the evaluation and the TEAS?
