Hey Everyone! Attempt #3! I just thought I'd make a thread for LAPC's Spring 2024 ADN applicants. This is my third time applying and applications are open from September 15 - October 1.
I will also be applying to these schools: College of the Canyons, Pasadena City College, Antelope Valley College, and Butte College. I wish everyone the best of luck! ❤️
So I ended up receiving a letter to be on standby a couple nights ago but haven't received anything else since. Did anyone else get this notice and if so have you heard anything else? (If we accept this position we will join the first two weeks of class to see if a spot opens up, does anyone know if we are required to wear scrubs on campus?)

I am assuming that the cohort will be split into two days as noted. It APPEARS like we will only have one clinical day a week at least for semester 1. But I am just looking based off the provided welcome letter.
I tried to order off the totes website but when I use the school code it takes me straight to a blank page.
Also, I cant register for classes yet. I am wondering if we sign up prior to Orientation? Or will they give us an access code at the orientation. This wasnt super clear....
I actually don't have any social media so if anyone is interested in starting a Discord and keeping each other updated let me know ?
Congrats to anyone who made it! I'm not sure if it's the same still for incoming 1st semester but it everything should be covered during orientation (whenever that may be).

Yes you're correct, one clinical day. The cohort will be split to different locations on different days, essentially you will be going to clinicals once a week.

Still keep a look out for updates, if it's stll the same, you are encouraged to attend orientation just incase people decide to drop last minute.

Try to note any specific questions you guys may have and ask it during orientation, most questions will be covered. YES, DEFINITELY create a chat amongst each other, it's great to keep each other updated.

Someone has already created a group on Discord. I had to join the group on facebook first then there's a link to Discord. If that makes sense? I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to these social media groups. There should be a link in previous messages to the facebook group.

Got it! We all have the same schedule for lectures as far as I understand but the clinical days are different. I'm really hoping and praying one of the hospitals is still Providence in Tarzana because I'm literally walking distance to it ?

Oh wow! That would be gold! Do you know where the clinical sites are located? I would like to get an idea. So I can cry it all out LOL
I'm located in Ventura county it's gonna be a good drive for me ?
Hii, has anyone been able to order the tote? I'm still on standby for this cohort but will be attending all the orientations / fire safety class and the first two weeks of class (and thinking positively the rest of the semester LOL)
I'm trying to order the tote but nothing comes up with the code I received (though it does seem like I got a pdf that was meant for last fall students)

Hello!
I actually reached out to the Professor in regards to this as I am running into the same issue. The representative from Pocket Nurse advised they have no orders on file for purchase for our school.
hopefully we will get an update soon.
