Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) ADN Spring 2023

Published

Hi all,

I wanted to start this forum since I did not see one yet for the Los Angeles Harbor College ADN program for Spring 2023 so that we can keep each other updated through the application process/selection.

Their application period open last week. I dropped off my application already.  This will be my 2nd time applying and I am crossing my fingers that I am selected on this next round.

Good luck everyone!

For those alternates that were accepted, besides background check, were there other documents that were provided to you to complete before orientation? I was recently accepted but only received background check to complete.

I’m not an alternate but I got accepted. I think that’s the only thing we need to submit before the Dec 14 deadline which is background check. It was mentioned that drug testing will be discussed during the orientation day so no need to do that not until they told us to do so

Hii. I’m pretty sure it’s just the background check we need to complete and then proof of covid and flu vaccine by orientation.

Just to double check we just submit the background test by submitting and paying for it through castle branch? There’s nothing else we need to do right??

Once you have your results you have to email it to them nursinginfo @lach.edu or grant them viewing access through an account. They have to have those by 12/14, 4pm. Take a hardcopy of it along with the COVID, FLU vaccines to orientation with you.

It's on the first letter. Ya, I had to re-read it a few times since I had just skimmed it once I saw I was accepted. ?

The alternates got a different email than those who got a spot.

My alternate email didn't say anything about taking a hard copy to orientation nor emailing it to them by 12/14. I'm actually just learning this as well.

I would just follow the instructions on the letter that was emailed to you since it seems like alternates received a different letter than the persons that were accepted.

Hello all ?

I know the last email she sent us said that drug testing instructions would be given to us during orientation, but the email she just sent says this. Does this mean we have to do a drug screen before orientation?

Yes, that’s worded where it’s contradicting what she said and what is stated in the letter they sent out. The drug and background checks are done through Castle Branch and instructions clearly state on the form to ONLY order the background check.
