Los Angeles City College (LACC) Spring 2017

Published

Has anyone received a phone call, email, or anything from LACC about there admission to the college of nursing yet?

Most or all applicants to the ADN-BSN collaborative were accepted from my cohort. You need to have all golden four classes completed to participate. You're not considered a CSULA student during the ADN-BSN program (t's through their extended learning program), so there is no financial aid available.

I hope that means a good thing to be getting a new theory instructor. Kinda nervous and excited at the same time!

Hello all,

Current student at LACC here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

FYI: Ppl that were waitlisted in the high teens were accepted in previous semesters.

Hi larn,

How do u feel throughout the whole program? Was the first semester tougher or easier than the second semester? What's the pros and cons? Was it competitive to get in bridge program to BSN ?

Advice please

hi aerial0623 I am also interested in the adn-bsn bridge program.

Were you able to find out any information on it?

Third semester is by far the most challenging. First semester seven students failed, second semester three failed, third semester eight failed. The policy within the LACCD is that if you fail one class you are able to retake it; however, if you fail more than one class, you are excluded from applying to any other nursing schools in the district.

The bridge program is not competitive. Everyone who applied were accepted. The bridge program is completed through CSULA's extension program, so there is no financial aid available. It's about $3k for the two classes that are completed during Summer break.

CSUDH and CSUF have similar programs that are available to all ADN students.
