Looks like I am going to be repeating a class at Baker.

Published

I figure I am going to be repeating A&P 1 due to a bad test score and missing 1 in class assignment due to a severe illness.

Any one repeat a class and still get in the program? I know that a repeat is the one thing that gives you less points, but I feel like there is no way I am going to come back from loosing those points for a good grade. I am already 3.5 points out of the lowest points in the A range for the class and I still have 6 weeks to go. :bluecry1:

I have all A's up to this semester.

Any advice on how to still make it?

Thanks!

Who do you have for A & P? You can come back from this, remember it's all about the points in A & P, Lecture & Lab. I completely failed the midterm in A & P 1 and still got an A. Study hard for the rest of the tests. (I had Sadler)

I have it figured out that in most classes you can completely bomb something, and still get an A. Getting a B- is less bad than repeating a class. So keep that in mind. (At least at Baker.) I had Tominello for A&P.

I had a meeting with my teacher and it looks like I may be able to squeek by with a B+ if I can kill myself to get it....lol. Hopefully I can still pass it.

I am trying to figure out what classes are really hard and shouldn't be taken together, here is what I have left. Any advice? If I pass A&P 1 I still want to go for Fall 09, so some semesters I can go either full or part time.

A&P II

Oral communication

Introduction to Algebra

Patho

Microbiology

Human Body Holistic

Nursing pharmacology

Pharm is a challenging class, I would not take it with A&PII or Algebra. Micro is pretty easy and Holistics is ok

Pharm is challenging. She is right. Oral communications is as time consuming as Comp 2. If you aren't good at math, then I wouldn't take that with either Pharm or OC.

Microbiology was easy. Path is easy, but I think you should have A&PII before you take it. Holistics was easy too, we had a 10 page paper due, and that was a pain, but aside from that, it wasn't a lot of work.

I was thinking of taking AP II and micro together during the summer. They told me that they can't tell me no because there is no pre-req listed for micro, but is only 9 weeks long in the summer and I was thinking that it might be pushing it. I would only take those 2 and the labs do I would physically only be at school 12 hrs.

I have a girl in my lab that is taking A&P 1 and micro together now.

I think that sounds like a good plan. My friend just did Micro and A&P I. Currently, she has Pharm, Path, A&PII and Computer classes. THAT I wouldn't recommend. LOL
