U.S.A. Texas

Published

:typingI have a simple question (I hope) I am looking to move to Texas in the course of the year but... I want to make sure I can go to a non-traditional school to bridge into thier RN program. Do any of you know or have any information that would be helpful?

Another thing do they call the them LPN or LVN out that way? I am from Indiana and in this region they are LPN I just wondered. Thanks you ladies/gentlemen have a great night.

Texas and California refer to their basic nurses as LVNs (licensed vocational nurses), whereas the remaining 48 states utilize the title of LPN (licensed practical nurse). It is the exact same type of nurse, but only the title is slightly different. Once you endorse your Indiana LPN license into Texas, your title will change to 'LVN.'

Good luck to you!

:typingthanks for the information. I do appreciate it. Now I need to know are there any career minded Nursing programs down that way or just community colleges, and Universities?

Are there any Houston nurses here please talk to me a bit and let me know all about it. I don't know what's bad or good. My husband is needed warmer climate change so Texas didn't look as expensive as Florida. I could be wrong but in the market of houses they don't seem to compare. Am I wrong...
