Looking for Online Chemistry with Lab for Prereqs

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Hi, this is my first time to post (although I have been browsing the site for any advice), and am desperately looking for any sort of advice or information!

I am working towards entering schools/colleges/universities (mainly in the northeast) that offer second degree or accelerated nursing programs. All of the colleges I looked into required prereqs, but since I currently live in Japan, I need to take classes online.

I graduated five years ago with a BS...unfortunately, (I want to slap myself over 500 times for this) I got a C- in the second half of my general chemistry classes (the first half and the lab portions were in the B's or B-'s), and many schools seem to require general chemistry with lab, so I need to retake general chemistry with lab online, along with other courses that need to be taken with five years of admission (for some schools I've looked into).

I have been taking my online prereqs through John Hopkins University school of nursing, but apparently since they do not require chemistry as a prereq, they do not have any online chemistry courses available.

What accredited schools/colleges have online general chemistry with lab?

Are they doable outside of the US?

Have you had any issues transferring the credits for prerequisites at certain schools?

I've been looking into:

www.Edukan.org

SUNY Learning Network (State University of NY online)

ccconline.org (Colorado cc's online)

Trident university (apparently has chemistry with lab especially for nursing and allied health)

Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan

Rio Salado Community College

Gwynedd Mercy University | Online Health Science Prerequisites

I will truly appreciate any input!

Coastline community college has Chem online. The test are proctored

Specializes in ICU,ER, Radiology, Online education.

Clovis College which is in New Mexico. Like $90/credit and they have Chemistry which I believe is Chem 113. They also have microbiology. Many students that were in the BSN where I graduated took Chem and Micro there and said they were very non-threatening courses and liked it very much.
