Hello,
I'm doing an assignment on different lab tests, I have to list for each blood test signs and symptoms r/t if the value is high or low and related diagnosis for highs and lows also. I have all of the related diagnosis for each of the 50 tests we need to do done but I'm struggling with where to find the info for the s&s of them (am I thinking correctly that the s&s are when a pt goes to their doctor and complains of high fever, chills/shakes then a wbc would be ordered?) My book Mosbys lab test manual only tells the diagnosis not the s&s of why they were ordered. Anyone know where else I can find this out online? I would appreciate it.
Thank you

Lab Test Interpretation The site just explains the lab tests.
For the signs and symptoms of the diseases you need to look up the diseases themselves. Like a high blood sugar is diabetes and is called hyperglycemia. Now look up Diabetes and hyperglycemia.\
Let me google that for you

the latest edition of joyce lefever kee's "laboratory and diagnostic tests with nursing implications" will fill this need handily and completely, and not be back on your desk when you're in another milieu. just cuz it's a book doesn't mean it's substandard. indeed, the nursing implications alone are worth the price of admission.
