Hi! I'm relocating to Maryland. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Edited to add: What's a safe area in Silver Springs to rent a room?

Hi,
I'd check out the DC forum also because this one seems to have more people from the Baltimore area.

Silver Spring is very big. I grew up there, but not in the city. There are quite a few zipcodes that are all considered Silver Spring. If you give me some ideas of areas in Silver Spring where you are considering I could probably help a bit more. The farther north of the city, the better.
Is Holy Cross Hospital north of Silver Spring? Well, I want to settle in a quiet and safe neighborhood in Silver Spring. Can u tell me some of the zip codes that are safe? Hopefully u can help me out Jenny!
Well, it is right next to the beltway and it is in a suburb just north of the city. If you want safe and quiet, I would actually say look in Kensington or Bethesda. If you really want to stay in Silver Spring, try looking in the Colesville area. Downtown Silver Spring has been renovated and its actually really nice now. I don't know how safe/quiet it would be to live there though. I'm sure it would be fine if you are used to city living. Its not a huge city, but it is busy. Holy Cross is a really nice hospital. I had my oldest child there :) Feel free to PM me if you want to run some addresses by me!

20901 is pretty close to holy cross and relatively safe. you don't want to go pass 20910 towards piney branch road. downtown silver spring is nice but i believe it's a bit more expensive.
AHA! Thanks so much for the info..I really appreciated!
