Hi everyone,
I'm Serena from Italy! I'm doing a research about nursing documentation in the emergency departments. If it is possible, i would like you to tell me how do you chart: if you use the computer, what kind of data you look for... also if you use models, what kind of models, scales and so on.
I need it because of my thesis. I will compare it with the models in use it the ED of Turin.
Thank you very much for your help!

Buon giorno, Serena! :) Have you considered using something like SurveyMonkey to collect your data? Might make it easier to collect and compile your results: https://www.surveymonkey.com/

Hi Serena-
We are a busy urban ED and we document assessments, initial finger sticks, I+O's and vital signs on the paper chart and all meds in the computer. If the patient is admitted but still under our care in the ED waiting for a room upstairs, we document everything on the computer. Eventually we will go to 100% computer documentation in the ED too.
Wow, that's great! I will certainly use it!
