I'm currently working on my cover letter and could really use some help getting it up to par. Any help would be really appreciated..I'm a new grad and I'm working to get my first job. *fingers crossed it'll be soon*
Dr. Mr/Ms
I was pleased to learn of the position available in the CNS inpatient unit at hospital name. I'm am interested in hospital name because of its focus on patient care and safety, through discovery and innovation. I believe the quality which hospital name strives for mirrors my own mission to provide excellent patient-centered care.
I understand that a strong knowledge base and ability to critically think is integral to the nursing process. I have excelled academically and have received a variety of scholarships, including the nameof nursing scholarship for academic standing and interest in pursuing a career in the acute care. In addition, I have excelled in a variety of clinical placements, which have exposed me to neurological disorders. My strong assessment skills and attention to detail have allowed me to identify interventions to improve patient outcomes and act as a mentor for other students.
Furthermore, my strong skills in time management have resulted in my ability to prioritized the care of a full patient assignment in both the emergency department setting and in an acute medical unit. I have adapted to sudden changes in patient's acuity level as well as idependently managing new admissions and discharges.
In addition to my university experience, I have demonstrated my ability work well within a team. During my time working at a summers camp as a medical assistant, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a nurse and our camp directors. Through this relationship we were able to create a new documentation system to facilitate the continuum of care and to provide safer medication administration to our campers.
I'm eager to find out more about the new graduate program and the employment opportunities at hospital. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Sincerely,
name

Hello! I like the content of your letter. There are some typos, which I'm sure you would catch upon re-reading. For example, in the first line, you write "I'm I am..."
Second paragraph, "...pursuing a career in the acute care." Perhaps you mean "pursuing a career in acute care."
Second and third paragraphs, you use the word "strong" twice. Perhaps another adjective for strong? I see some other typos, too.
I am also looking for a job, and have to re-read and re-check my cover letters for mistakes. Good luck with the job hunt!
