Looking for Advice!

Hello again!

First off, I want to say thank you to the people that have replied to previous threads, the advice is very much appreciated as I go through this exciting process.

I start my prerequisites in less than a week now! So that's exciting.

Most likely, I won't be able to graduate until 2020.. I've been seeing so many posts about "2020 BSN Requirements".. I already plan to go on to a bridge program after I graduate anyway, but it's kind of hard not to get nervous about it. I don't expect to be handed my dream job, I know that takes time. Just feeling discouraged because right now we can only afford an associates degree.. And I won't even be done with it until 2020 :/

Thanks in Advance.

Specializes in NICU, ICU, PICU, Academia.

There is no requirement for BSN by 2020. There are suggestions and recommendations (and have been since I became and LPN in 1977). No requirements.

Best wishes as you start your journey.

"Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway." (Just in case the picture didn't properly show up).

If it's what you want, go for it and try to enjoy the process.
