Long Island University (LIU Brooklyn) - NP Program

Updated:   Published

Hello, has anyone attended/graduated from one of LIU's (Long Island University- Brooklyn) NP programs? If so, please share any insights into quality/etc. I was recently admitted .

Thank you!

Hey hun. I actually only did a semester at Lehman because they had lost their accreditation a few month into the program. I am currently enrolled and almost done with a Psych NP Program I applied to at Hunter College. Lehman FNP has gained their accreditation back so that's good news. The people I know who've graduated from the program liked it there. Good luck!

Hello, I'm current FNP student 2 semesters left to graduate at LIU

I would not suggest this school for this program to no one!  They take money but don't provide clinicals, just promising, they don't have clinical coordinator, they don't reply emails or schedule us for clinical rotations they are saying they don't have staff and we have to wait for placement for documentation 2-3 month , we all behind with clinical hours to graduate, even if you have your own location they don't approve because they don't have staff who can approve you. One woman works for all clinical department who is rude and overwhelmed. We signed petition and asked  Deans help, they promised hire people and nothing is done. We are planing to go to TV and hire layers, they delaying everyone's graduation by not providing promised clinicals or clearance. Worst experience ever! For this tuition please go other college and do research talk to students!

Good day,  how did it turn out? I know this post was from 2023 and wonder if they finally resolved it with better intention.  Kudos to you all signed petition and act together.  How long it delayed your cohort's graduation?  Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Following to see if there is update on this. I m new to this site. Hope to connect with more nurses who have similar goals. Thank you!
