Long Beach City College (LBCC) ADN Spring 2025

Published

Hi all! Just submitted my application for Long Beach City College's ADN Program and wanted to open up a thread for us to connect regarding our applications & the acceptance process. Applications closed today and we should hear back in 6-8 weeks, October 3 at the latest.

@V. Moon

Hi ! I got the email from Marc Smith,

@suzan Tom

Yes on my personal email

Yes, I got the email back on my personal email. What does the screening process look like?

If I'm not mistaken I believe now the screening process is where they do the lottery poll for the Science GPA

I heard back too! How exciting

Congratulations to everyone who got the email! I received one too! Yay! I was placed on the alternate list for Fall 2024 so I was a bit confused as to which program LOL.

If you guys don't mind me asking, what were your stats for your science GPA's?

Overall GPA: 3.4

science GPA: 3.69

what about you guys?
This is my first time applying, I'm so shocked they don't ask for your TEAS until after acceptance. Did anyone take it yet? I scored 89%

I was also an alternate for Fall 2024. Followed up with Marc and it turned out they took in 9 alternates so far. Bummer. I have a 4.0 science GPA, 3.8 overall and I haven't taken the TEAS yet. I don't know if I'm tripping but I feel like if you're in that bracket, you're kind of at a disadvantage. I also feel that they should change how they select alternates in the sense that they should randomly select instead of using the GPA of those that drop the program. Anyways good luck everyone!

You have good GPA, I am confused how they select alternates?

They take in alternates the same way they select the main 40. Random and within each of the 3 GPA pools. They mentioned in the alternate meeting how they select which alternates are to replace those who drop or don't pass the TEAS. For example if someone from the 3.5-4.0 pool decides to drop or not pass the TEAS, they only randomly select those within that pool. So it could be possible that someone from the other pool might never be picked. There's alot of factors, it's random, and IDK their bts ways of how they select so who knows!
