It may be early but around this time, those applying to Fall 2020 are engulfed in an A&P course trying for the grades needed. Collaboration and early encouragement can only help. Fall seems to be the large cycle and a lot have had the same instructors. Some of us could even be sitting by each other in class and not know.
I know we cannot say who we are taking. I'm in A&P 1 at Tomball in a hybrid course. If I can be of any help I will do so. I have a study guide for A&P that's about 90 pages. In addition, I have a pdf of one of the books (I think it's Marieb).
Goodxluck in class everyone and hope to see you in nursing school in the Fall!

I see both sides. I have all my ducks in a row, but I know that would be really upsetting for someone who has been working so hard to achieve this goal

I mean less competition ... and so have I . I’ve been waiting over a year due to because I waited till the last minute & I received incorrect information from ADVISORS so that taught me a lesson of not waiting till the last minute

Oh the joy of advisors ? I can see why you would that way. But I think good juju works LOL, so my fingers are crossed for everyone to have the opportunity to apply.

You’re given so long to take the HESI before the deadline, it should have been done last year if someone planned correctly in case they didn’t get the score they wanted. The deadline is the deadline. It would suck if you were planning to retake before the deadline but it is what it is... I applied last year and took the HESI the day before the deadline and I learned my lesson since I didn’t get accepted.
One year they extended the HESI and application deadline because they had to close for an extended amount of time due to one of the hurricanes (we get so many in Houston, I can't keep up LOL). I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again to give the people who were scheduled to take the exam next week.

Well if extended it should only be a week ... the Spring application process is only open for 2 -3 months . The fall has a 3-4 month application which I think is unfair . Both cycle time should be the same

Exactly. Then you already have to wait a whole year just to even apply !!

Yes it is very unfair! If they had close the deadline this month, we wouldn't be in this mess LOL!

In the Spring only two schools are taking applicants though, logistically it’s tougher on the system to accept fall applicants for four schools. More people needing to take the HESI and possibly meet with advisors

Well they have 1 school taking applications both semesters so thats not an excuse . And it’s the only campus that’s on that end of town
I’m actually low key concerned about them moving all classes online. I’m in medical Microbiology right now and I don’t see a logical way to move it online (especially when it comes to labs). It’s such a hands on class and I honestly enjoy learning from my professor. I’m probably in the minority when it comes to not wanting them to move everything online ?.
