Hey I was wondering if anyone else has started a post on Fall 2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls... & If not then let's get this one going!

Does it help your score to retake pre-reqs you have B's in or do they average the grades together??

@Nichole24 if the class is taken at lonestar then you have to put in a request to replace the lower grade.

What points do you guys have?? I'm getting nervous since mine is a 7.568 and critical thinking is 780..

The only classes that really count are AP 1 or 2 and engl 1301. You want an A in both either Ap 1 or 2 and in engl. They take those and that's where half of your 8 points will come from. So if you have 2 As you will have 4 points which makes it a better chance to get in. The other 4 will come from your hesi. If you have B in both even with a perfect score on your hesi you will be too close to 7. I'm at 6.9 since I had a B in AP so I'm super nervous about my application.

@YvetteT your score is close! I am sure you will get into one of the campuses! What is your first choice?? Don't worry we are all nervous! I am submitting my application next week after I get my titer results back.

@varango02 my first choice is North Harris since I have all of the books from my friend who already graduated. Plus they take more students then other campuses. Your score is great! You have nothing to worry about.

@YvetteT North Harris is my second choice. I am worried about my critical thinking! I only got a 780.

The anp I took at lone star and the eng 1 I took at another school so I'll probably be stuck with the B in English.

I met with the advisor and he never said that determined anything. You just had to pass which you did.

@erivee what score did you end up with after you took your hesi again? Did you submit a new appplication with the new score?

No I didn't go to the info session. I submitted my application with 7.5 just going to pray & cross my fingers and just hope I get in! There's another one coming up, if I can make it & do end up taking the Hesi again I'll post. But I don't know !!! I've seen a few scores at 7.71 but their first choice is going to different universities.

Just wondering how complex the math is on the Hesi? I completely reviewed the elseview hesi study assessment 4ed and I'm doing pocket prep. I do well on both of those study tools. Then I do random math equations online and they seem way more complicated. Just wondering / it's stressing me out!!
