Hey I was wondering if anyone else has started a post on Fall 2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls... & If not then let's get this one going!

I got my blue card in the mail today! Im officially done with the whole checklist on CB! I'm still holding out hope that I will get a phone call. Any other alternates hear anything?

My question is for the alternates that have been selected to be in the program after orientation: Has anyone (alternates) been contacted by Surscan to take the random drug test yet? I signed up for it in early June and still haven't heard anything? My family and I are taking our annual family trip next week to New Orleans, and I am worried I will be called to take the test while I am out of town.

Also do they really have you come in for a random test before school starts, or is there a possibility they will do it sometime during the first 3 weeks of school on campus like they did at the nursing orientation for students that were originally accepted? My best friend will also be in Dallas from Malaysia the following week and its hard for me to get my "travel on" while knowing I can be tested at any min.

It is my understanding whichever school you were chosen for will contact you after August 4 to give details about surscan. I wouldn't stress about that. I believe that when we start school is when we have our drug test. Best of luck to you.

I have just submitted my request to be removed from the accepted Cy-Fair Lonestar ADN program, so heads up to an alternate, who may be recieving a call. Good Luck guys! I will be doing my BSN at UTH SON downtown, so still nursing, just different side of town. :-)
