Hey I was wondering if anyone else has started a post on Fall 2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls... & If not then let's get this one going!

Did anybody receive the email we just got about things we need to complete before orientation?

They added the drug screening test. It was due this Monday, April 24th!!!!! I knew nothing about this!!!! Did anybody else know when the drug screening was due by? It says if you haven't completed it by the 24th, that it is past due. I'm so upset right now. I never received any information on the drug screening so I figured it would be something they would tell us later on or maybe at orientation.

You just had to register and pay for it. After my payment to surescan, it said that further instrucrions would come from the school.

Yeah I get that. But I never even received information about any drug screening. I just called the nursing advisor at North Harris and she said an email was just sent out that says basic and transition students don't need to do the drug screening yet? But I haven't received that email.

I am so confused. The school is doing a horrible job at making sure everyone has the right information.

Dont be confused.....we got each other's back. On acceptance letter, it said to just pay and register. I haven't received email either about drug screening, but I do know that u just had to register for it and school will determine what date u will take it in the near future...

My email from Montgomery says the drug test will be administered randomly at orientation or at some time during the the semester. But, you have to pay for it in advance so you can show the receipt at orientation.

Does anyone know when they will start contacting alternates? The wait is literally killing me, I just want to be accepted already!

I actually got a call yesterday for an open position at tomball, which was my second choice. So they already started calling alternates and it will continue as needed until the start date.

I wasn't able to pay for the drug screening until yesterday due to financial issues and i know they said you had to pay for it by Monday. I called and emailed the nursing department but they havent told me for sure if I am okay and won't lose my spot. Do you think it makes a difference by paying one day later???

Alternates for ADN do not have to pay for drug test ... that's what they told me
