Lone Star College 2022 LVN-RN transition Program

Nursing Students School Programs

I am applying to the 2022 LVN-RN LSC transition program. I am debating if I should retake the HESI for a higher score or just cross my fingers with my 7.456. I was looking into Tomball as my #1. What is everyone else’s scores? Thanks in advance.

No way. You will get in with your score now for sure. No need to retake!

Did you have to use ApplyTexas to apply?

No I didn’t.

@txlvn85 how did you apply? That is what I am being directed to and its asking me about my parents, and if I was in foster care. I'm 37, none of that should apply to me.

That’s strange. You go to lonestar Kingwood nursing website and there’s a link for the transition program flyer, click on that and it has all the links on there.

Thank you, I'll try again.

No. I was already a student from last August. I just had to reapply to Lone Star. And I typed into Google “Lone Star College Additional Requirements” and scroll down to see which applications are open.

https://www.lonestar.edu/nursing-requirements.htm

Use this link and scroll to the middle part where it shows you all the applications.

Thank you! Have you taken the HESI yet? If so, what was your opinion?

@jhil84 yes. I took it in December. It wasn’t bad. Math was my downfall. I only studied for the A&P section. I applied for the transition program for Tomball, NH and Montgomery which the HESI due date was last week. If I don’t get into any of those programs I will retake the HESI and apply for the Kingwood program. Which program are you looking at?

I'm wanting to do the Kingwood program. It'll give me a little time to prepare for the school year since it starts in fall. I think math is going to be my downfall too. It's been years since I've done any type of math class. Did it take long to complete?
