2018 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls - Spring

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hey there!

I wanted to start this page for anyone who is applying for the Spring 2018 Lone Star ADN or LVN program! I've seen previous posts, from previous years, and everyone was really helpful and encouraging to one another.

I am taking A&P 1 over the summer (starts 7/13) and then I will be submitting my application!! Im so nervous. I already took the HESI and got a score on 90.8%, which gives me and 3.6 on the point scale. I have an A in Eng 1301 and hope to get an A in A&P this summer.

In the fall I am taking A&P2 along with Micro (ugh). So if anyone else is in the same boat, let me know!!!

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from everyone 2MzmrmldDUluFszY4BeNRUhFw8YnK8nLzkBNSYABAA==

I did but haven't gotten a LVN letter.

Someone in the other forum received an alternate position for the LVN program with a score of 7.2. I think it's safe to say that any score under 7.0 will be denied by Tomball. Did you receive an alternate position for the ADN programs?

nope i am not planning to give up my spot lol, but thanks for the answer

No /: I didn't get in but, I expected it so I'm not that down about it. Just going to keep working harder and apply again in January. Did you get an acceptance letter from San Jan?

I was unable to get all of the requirements completed by the deadline; so, I didn't apply to San Jac. Did you apply with them as well? I can't believe Tomball didn't send out any correspondence to people who were denied!

No, wasn't able to. I might try them next time along with lonestar and other places if I can. And I know! But, that's alright. Just have to keep working towards it.

yayyy I got accepted into Cyfair. my score was 7.74

Do you guys think I would be able to survive nursing school if I havent took AP2

Did u get accepted? What is your score, I think it's way better to take it before bcuz many Knowldge in nrsg is based on those classes

I got accepted but I haven't taken AP2 that why I'm worried.

You can see if any of the campuses are offering an 8 week AP2 class. If not, maybe read the textbook or some other reference book (such as the "Made Easy Anatomy and Physiology" book) and look up some videos to get a basic idea. I like the crash course videos on YouTube. But don't overload your brain or worry too much. You will be fine :)

I got my acceptance email Monday to start in January has anyone else on here gotten an email?
