Loma Linda University Medical Center New Hires!

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey Everyone!

I was recently hired at LLUMC (yay!) in the Adult Acute and Intermediate Medical Services! I'm looking for other new hires and for anyone who can give me info on the process! I'm still waiting for HR to call and set up orientation but I've accepted a verbal offer over the phone.

Does Loma Linda only hire RNs?

I have an interview tomorrow for the Neuro Intermediate unit. It took them a few weeks to call me but they finally did. The person I spoke to said the interview is from 9-12 and that it would take the whole time...a 3 hr interview sounds very daunting to me.

I have an ADN and BLS plus I have NIHSS group A certification (did it during school!). I have no prior medical experience other than school, so we shall see how it goes. I really would love this position so I hope it all goes well.

For those of you that interviewed, what was it like? Any tips? This is my first real nursing interview so I'm nervous!

Update:

Interview went well...I got called with a job offer the day after my interview!! So excited to be starting soon!

Hi I got a job offer in LLUMC. HR sent me an email regarding the new hire paper work telling me to complete the forms online. I was able to log in into my account but I cant find the forms. Were you able to complete the forms online?

Congrats! Did you start completing the New Hire Paperwork? I cant even find or view the forms in my profile. I was able to log in but cant find anything. Im using internet explorer 8 as what the directions says.

Did you fill up the forms online? Because I'm having problems.

HR hasn't sent me anything yet. I only got the offer friday afternoon, so I am thinking I won't hear from HR until probably monday.

I had my employee health assessment done last friday and i need to complete the forms online because I have appointment with the HR tomorrow, Monday for the final sign on. I can't even view the forms in my profile/account online. I guess something is wrong with their page.

Oh yeah I haven't even had that...It must be something wrong on their end.

What was the employee health assessment like?

You'll be having an appointment with the Occupational Health Department. They'll be doing physical assessment, drug test and tb test. They'll let you lift weights like 50lbs to make sure you meet the physical requirements.

Ah OK. A lot of my classmates were surprised with how "physical" their new hire physicals have been.

How was the lift test conducted? 50 lbs off the floor/over the head? Did you need to lift it up for a certain amount of time?
