Loma Linda University Medical Center New Hires!

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey Everyone!

I was recently hired at LLUMC (yay!) in the Adult Acute and Intermediate Medical Services! I'm looking for other new hires and for anyone who can give me info on the process! I'm still waiting for HR to call and set up orientation but I've accepted a verbal offer over the phone.

Congrats! I also got hired in the same unit as you! I got called about almost two weeks ago by the nursing manager and was told to have patience as it takes a few weeks for HR to give us a call and go through the process. They haven't forgotten us LOL. I think within a week or two they will let us know!

Same here! She had told me about 1 1/2 weeks - 2 weeks which is right around now! Im so excited to have found someone else here! Lets keep each other posted?

I got my call from HR yesterday! they sent me the paperwork and gave me the days to come in and sign papers.

Hey nursie33, how did you apply to Loma Linda's nursing positions? Would you apply for the "new graduate" specified RN positions?

Because from what I've heard from HR office, there is no official new graduate RN program application. You just apply for certain RN positions and I believe they preceptor you as a new nurse....no?

Hi JobseekingRN,

If you are on their website and click on the tab that says "Tips to a improve your Application" at the bottom it says that New Grad positions for main hospital are titled "Graduate Nurse" or "Clinical Nurse B" you can apply to all of those! Good luck!

P.S. They take about a month to call for an interview so don't be discouraged! I applied to probably 20 positions there and got the call a month later for one of the first ones I applied to!

Did you guys had any trouble accessing the new hire paperwork?

I didn't have any trouble. But I know it is very picky about the type of computer and browser. Make sure its a PC, on internet explorer 8, and that you have the latest Adobe. Other than that it should work.

I recently applied to some positions at Loma Linda under the Clinical Nurse B position too. Just out of curiosity, what's your background like? BSN? Were you a CNA or had other healthcare related jobs? Leaderships?

Hey Nursie33, thanks for the advice on applying for positions at Loma Linda.

I will check out their application soon. Loma Linda medical center is awesome and I am praying real hard that maybe, I can work there. Good luck to you too!

I am a BSN RN and did have a healthcare related job during nursing school. It was a private careprovider position for a man with disabilities and a seizure disorder. I also have ACLS, PALS, BLS, and during the interview I told them I was working towards Stroke Scale Certifications which they really liked.

Can you share how your interview went? What kind of questions were they focused on?
