Published

The deadline is on November! Who is applying to this one? Just wanted to see who has completed the TEAS, what are your scores?! What are you GPA's?!

I am currently working on my application! ?

And Hello to my future Cohert (if we meet along the way!!)

Wow! That is the highest Critical thinking score I've seen! Congrats! I scored an 88 on the TEAS and 20 on the CT and my prerequisite GPA is also 3.9! I haven't received a call and am worried as I know they require higher scores for their accelerated program (BA TO BSN). Hoping I make the cut!

Hi @Myelin_gets_on_my_nerves, how did you prepare for the critical thinking test? Anything will help, please! I am struggling right now trying to figure out how to study for it or what resources to use... ?

Unfortunately I went into the test blind and didn’t prepare at all because I had no idea what to expect. I think I just got lucky.

I do believe if you look on line and type in sample critical thinking questions there are a number of websites that offer sample tests with similar questions that were in Loma Linda’s test. Also try looking on the app Quizlet and type is critical thinking questions. You can find some examples and theories to work out the problems based on logic.
But ultimate I think you might be reading too much into the questions. Take a deep breath before answering then try and pick the most logical answer. I found the test to be tricky common sense questions.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
Good luck!!!!

Okay, I'll definitely try that. Thank you for replying so quickly!

@Pumpkinspice2020 Hi there!

I honestly took the CT twice so don't feel bad if you didn't pass your first time! I went in trying to "beat" the test thinking it was purposely trying to make me choose a certain answer and that was NOT the case. I came back a week later and just chose all the answers I wanted to choose but didn't because I thought I was being "tricked". That boosted me from an 11 to a 20!

Honestly, don't think too hard about it. There are a few math reasoning questions that are fairly straight forward but the ones that involve more of a logical conclusion are the ones you want to be extra critical about. Don't involve your feelings. (in some questions, I felt bad choosing one of the options because it felt a bit mean but you have to remember its all based on logic and reasoning and you have to choose the best probable answer based on the information they provide you).

You can go to websites like https://www.testpartnership.com/free/critical/1/ and try a few critical reasoning tests ?

Good luck!!! ?

Honestly, that's really great advice! I did catch myself thinking about my feelings a bit for some scenarios! Thanks for the advice! ?

Hi, I’m starting the LLU BSN program this fall 2020. I was wondering where any of you guys got your student loans from (apart from federal) like what banks did you ask? Or how did you even get the private student loans? ?
