Loma Linda Pediatric Residency August 2012

I have been checking LLUMC website every day and they have finally posted the application period dates for the residency in August. http://lomalindahealth.org/childrens-hospital/for-health-professionals/residency/nursing/about-us/news-and-events/index.page?

I am curious who is applying, what residency etc.

What I am curious about is how many people applied and how many people they will accept.

I got an email saying that I didn't attached my letters of recommendation! I know for a fact I did!

I also received an update from Loma Linda saying my app was forwarded to the manager. I'm currently doing my clinicals there and have heard rumors that heme/onc already has had some interviews but other units like PICU/ NICU and others will probably start calling the end of the month for interviews and decide in June. Number of people accepted totally depends on the needs of the unit, I know NICU will be hiring around 12-15 I believe, which is a huge number since last cohort they hired 7. Lots of nurses are leaving LLUMC so thankfully they need more people. It is also rumored this will be the last cohort until next August and the one in February is cancelled due to budget constraints. I got an email that my application was forwarded to the appropriate manager as well! I guess that's a good sign. Wonder when will we hear about the interview... I applied to Hematology/Oncology unit, I wonder how many they are accepting to that unit this year, anybody knows?

Wow, I applied to hem/onco I hope I will still hear from them!

Heme/Onc is a small unit, so they probably only accept 1-3 per cohort. My friend that interviewed though got a job somewhere else so theres one less person to compete with! Good luck to you :)
