Loma Linda Fall 2016 Thread

hello ladies and gentleman, i wanted to create a thread for some fellow applicants to ask questions to one another. I am currently on my way to submit my application for the fall 2016 cohort for Loma Linda.

My current stats are 3.64 cumulative GPA, I'm going to be taking my TEAS at the end of the year. I still have 4 prerequisites to knock out by the end of spring, so I hope that will boost my GPA to 3.7. I'm also working as an EMT in the greater Los Angeles are with a focus in cardiology (ACLS, PALS, EKG Certs)

Anyone else out there planning on applying?

Hello! Your stats look great! I really liked how the application was catered to how we are as a person and not so much about our numbers! I also applied for the Fall and am taking the TEAS this saturday. I took the Critical thinking test last week!

I got waitlisted for Autumn, but got offered a spot for Winter :)

I also got waitlisted for fall, but have heard nothing yet about winter.

When did they offer you the spot for winter?

I was only told that if we didn't get in for fall that we can just push our application to winter.

It said this in my email I received

"Since you are a well-qualified student, the committee has voted to grant you acceptance for Winter 2017 if a position does not open for Autumn 2016. "

I never even heard of them doing that before.

If you don't mind me asking what are your stats like?

And do you have any classes in progress right now?

Yeah I'm taking 2 classes this summer. I'm an accelerated student so I already have a Bachelors. I had a 3.4 cum. I also have volunteer experience and am involved in ministry
