Loma Linda Childrens hospital March 2022 cohort

Published

Hi hey, I wanted to start a thread for the new grad program that is starting March 2022.

I missed a call from them yesterday (12/20) and they didn't leave a voicemail! I applied to the ER. I don't go to LL for any medical reasons so I called the recruiter and left a voicemail asking if the call came from them LMAO. I'm hoping they call again today. A part of me is worried it was a rejection call, but I've heard from others that they send rejection emails and do not call.

Have any of you guys received calls from them? Also, if you don't hear from the director of the floor you applied to, the recruiter had told my class that we should call her and ask if any other unit still has any spots.

One of our clinical instructors had set up a zoom call with her for an information session so if anybody has questions for me, feel free to ask. What I know so far: $36/hr and then it gets bumped up to $38 after....6mo? A year? I don't remember. The first few months are 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts. 3 year contract, which is.....a bit concerning. Does anybody know any nurses currently in the program and how they're liking it so far? Thanks!

Hi, did you accept their offer? What is the pay like? Do new grads get a raise after one year? Is there a fee when one breaks the contract?
