Hi all!
I am a nursing student at NVCC, graduating in 4 semesters (knock on wood). I was wondering if any of you had heard of any local hospitals that offer "loan payback" programs.
Thanks so much :thankya:

Reston Hospital has a "tuition reimbursement" program. Sibley Hospital in Northwest DC also has a similar program. Sibley's is on their website but Reston's is not (not that I'm aware of anyway). Both require about a two year committment. Good luck.

Ya, like the above mentioned, lol 4 semester left? The program itself is only a total of 4 semesters, lol I'm in the second semester right now!! The final on May 08 can't come soon enough. best of luck
Thanks for the info on Reston Hospital. I would prefer work for INOVA Fair Oaks, but it sure would be nice to get my loans paid off.
I am in NOVA's online nursing program (5 semesters)... I wish I could do the traditional method and get it all done in 4. Alas, I am a full time working parent.
Good luck to you too! (I'm jealous that you are 1/2 done!)
I didnt realize the online course took an extra semester, learn something every day!! I would have preferred to take Nur 111/118 online as well as CLS (such a waste of a class, lol) Best of luck

Thank you for posting this question I am very interested!!! I plan to start soon...And it will be good to pay off that loan afterwards too.
You said that you are doing the online programm I plan on taking some online classes too I am a full time non working mom but I have to stay home for the little one!
Do you have any tips:bugeyes: by the way I will go to nova too.
I did many of my pre-req courses online (ELI) and one really has to set a schedule, otherwise you keep putting the studying off,lol I did BIO 101 online and actually had to ask for an extension, lol Luckily the prof was super nice and approved it, not all profs will do that!! For sure take Medical terminology online, one could finish that course in a few weeks if they had to. One just has to be dedicated when it comes to online courses. And if ur keen, many of them you can get ahead and finish early (talking about the pre req courses) Once ur in the program, I would say take NUR 150 online as well. Interesting class, one can get ahead, thus freeing up time to study for nur 111.
Best of luck
