Loan Consolidation

I need help consolidating my loans. How do I do it? Is it the smart thing to do. I can't seem to find anyone who can help me.

well i've "heard": it looks good on your credit, because it shows as one big lump sum not a bunch of small loans her and there and you pay over a longer period w/ lower interest rate.

Sallie Mae is one of the oldest and more reputable companies that does loan consolidation.

I have an old loan through Sallie Mae. I swear I've paid it off 3 times now. A few years will go by and they'll send me another bill for over a hundred dollars. Initially it was around a 1000 dollar loan the National Guard was suppose to pay for with a student loan repayment program. Yet, I still keep getting these bills that I pay and a few years will go by and I will get another.
