Living abroad/remote work?

Hi y’all.
I am working towards my goal of living abroad. It is my lifelong dream to do so preferably in a Third World country living a very simple life. Life did throw a curve ball and I’m now a single parent of a four-year-old. I decided, though, that I will not throw away this dream.

has anyone been able to work remotely and live abroad?

am I able to keep my nursing license and not live in the US in any state?

I currently work in Washington. I haven’t reached out to the board. But I’m hoping to find any advice or feedback. Ideally I would like to keep my license to have a way to support us when we return. and ideally I would like to live abroad for a couple of years.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice or experiences.

much love to all.

I see you have had no responses. So, I will throw out a few ideas.

As far as keeping your licensure here, while you work abroad... only your BON can tell you. I would GUESS that as long as you are active.. it would be acceptable.

What is your experience? Do you have skills that transfer to remote work? Have you searched for remote positions in third world countries? Have you researched  which third world countries are safe?

Any company that would hire you, would require that you are not also providing child care. Finding childcare in a third world country could be difficult.

Best wishes with your dream.
