LIU NP Program

Updated:   Published

Hello, has anyone attended/graduated from one of LIU's (Long Island University- Brooklyn) NP programs? If so, please share any insights into quality/etc. I was recently admitted .

Thank you!

Hi, do you guys have any information about how the program is? I’m considering applying for Spring of next year. How was the application process? Was there an interview?

Hi. I applied in February and thought everything was completed but they needed prove (syllabus) of nursing assessment and research. That’s what delayed it. Nevertheless, My application was completed some where March 4th-5th. Received my acceptance letter March 10th. No interview. Unfortunately, I didn’t end up going because I got accepted at Lehman, much cheaper. LIU is rolling admissions so once your application is complete, you hear back from them quick. Goodluck!

Received admission decision from both LIU and Pace! Where is everyone here headed?

I missed the deadline to apply for Pace. Did LIU ever ask for your nursing license and registration when applying?

Yeah they had me scan it in. The license and certification

also it was rolling admission so you can apply at any time. I did not have an interview

I decided on attending LIU instead of Dominican college. Although it’s more expensive they place your clinicals and it’s partially online

Has anyone heard of an orientation yet or anything?

it still says I have an incomplete application but I’ve sent in the final transcript from the school I’m missing 3x already

I was told to wait for my acceptance letter for LIU but I haven’t gotten it yet. When it does come, hopefully, that’s where I’ll be going. I haven’t heard anything about orientation.

I was accepted to LIU FNP Brooklyn as well. I applied last month and literally got my admission offer the same day I completely filled out my application. I have enrolled and plan to attend. Did anyone else sign up for classes?

I signed up for classes

NurseKay, have you heard anything about the program? Is it very challenging? What grade do you need to get in classes to progress? I was unable to find any information but since I live in Brooklyn, it was the most convenient school to attend.

Hi, how were you able to sign up for classes? Nothing pops up for me. Also, after the tuition deposit, did you get an email about the next step?

Someone from the college has to register you into them. Try calling admissions.

Did the dean reach out to you guys?
