Hello all!

So im applying to LIU Brooklyn's Nursing program for the fall of 2018 and wanted to know who else is applying and what's your scores. Also, to anyone whom is already attending LIU Brooklyn nursing , whats your current experience and what is your advice for future nursing students.

Thanks !

Hi:

I applied for Fall 2018 part time BSN program and am waiting to find out if I'm accepted. I was told by the admissions counselor (in January of this year) that the TEAS scores are to be submitted no later than one month before the start of classes. When I went to the open house, I was told the TEAS scores aren't used as part of the admissions to SON; admission to SON is based on overall GPA and math and science GPA. The TEAS score is used to determine if you need to take math or sci classes over before starting clinical/foundation classes. The LIU website still has TEAS test info on it for SON. Is the no TEAS needed recent?? Good luck to everyone who has applied!

Does anyone know the cost of the tuition for the 2 year nursing program that starts in fall

Hello there! So my tuition is roughly about $38,000 since I currently live in the city. This also includes a program that they partnered with called ATI, which is super helpful. However, tuition can also run up to almost $60,000 if you decide to dorm. Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hi,

I was recently accepted to for Fall 2018. I did not have to take the TEAS for an admission decision.

Hey, I was admitted as a transfer to the BSN program for Fall 18. They did not need my TEAS exam scores and they changed some requirements - they now need a language and an art. Is anyone else starting the clinical phase in Fall 18?

I am!! What group are you in?

Hello, I'm interested in transferring to LIU. Do I need to take all the pre-reqs before starting the nursing ccourses?

Hi, yes you'll need to complete pre-reqs before taking nursing classes. Confirm required prereqs with SON.

Has anyone made it into the program with a C+ in chemistry?

I have heard that they look at your overall grades in some instances so you may still be considered with a C+. The best option to get clarification would be to meet with the nursing advisor as she would be able to tell you what the school of nursing is looking for.
