Littmann Classic III

Anyone have the new Littmann Classic III?

I'm searching for a stethoscope, and I am considering this one. It's brand new, just came out, and IMO, the main reason to get it would be the interchangeability of it. You can have an adult and a pediatric diaphragm (one on each side), or you can convert the pediatric diaphragm side to an open bell.

The acoustics and the tubing are supposed to have been upgraded as well.

You can read about it here:   Classic III™: 3M™ Littmann® Stethoscopes: 3M US

Thoughts?

I am interested in getting a new scope as well

I have been working in an ICU for the last 9 years and several years ago my cardiology III was stolen or incredibly lost.

I am wanting to replace it but not entirely convinced I need to go with another Cardiology III.

I really like the looks of the classic III

I have the Littmann Classic III in blue and I absolutely love it! I got it because of the ability to use it on peds & adults, plus I wanted a good quality scope that I could keep for years to come (providing it doesn't get stolen). I highly recommend this stethoscope. When I purchased mine the beginning of this year, a lot of people hadn't even heard of it so I ended up getting it online. I had a cheaper stethoscope and the quality was ok, but the Classic III is well worth the money. I can hear everything, even with my toddlers running around screaming. You will be glad you got it if you do.
