Hi Taimanov! The only school that I know that offers MSN program here in Metro Manila is UERM.. I have also tried inquiring to several schools such as UP-Manila and UST, but they only offer MAN program.. Yes, MSN classes in UERM is during Saturdays/Sundays only 8am-5pm, but in UP-Manila it's Mondays-Fridays.. I don't know with UST.. FYI, the tuition fee of MSN program in UERM is only 1k/unit, their miscellaneous fees sum up to 7k+.. If u want other infos, I can post it here.. Just tell me other things that u want to know.. Like u, I am also planning to take up MSN this coming June.. I might choose UERM coz they have a good curriculum and their tution is cheaper as compared to other schools..

I know one. UERM. They offer MSN, and you can choose from 5 specialization. But as some people from this forum always ask, what's your reason on taking the MSN? If it's because you want to further your nursing knowledge and share it by being a clinical instructor, or use it for your current hospital position, or to jumpstart your career on your chosen specialty, then it's a good move. But I doubt if you can use your MSN abroad (okay, in some countries abroad), especially in countries with Nurse Practitioners because you have to be educated in one of their recognized MSN schools.
Good Luck!
pls eosinopil post other importnt infos... saturday and sunday? or i will either choose sat or sun? ill be working in a hospital this coming june....
would this be possible.... working in a hospital weekdays while studying during weekends PLUS i want to be a prof in a good school...
wat major are you looking into? im planning to take major in medsurg...
In UERM, here are the basic requirements in order for you to be qualified for admission:
1. Graduate of a BSN course
2. Current PRC license
3. 6 mos, professional experience (nursing related)
You can choose from 6 Nursing Specialization:
1. Maternal and Child Nursing
2. Adult Health Nursing
3. Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing
4. Community Health Nursing
5. Occupational Health
6. Diabetes Nursing Practice
Their classes is only Saturdays and Sundays, but you can choose either of the 2.. I'm planning to have a major in Adult Health Nursing.. It is possible that you can work in a hospital and at the same time study on weekends.. It's just a matter of good time management.. And besides, you can be able to apply your learnings from the MSN program to your work.. Moving over, I believe nursing schools nowadays accept clinical instructors even with few units of MSN or is currently enrolled in an MSN program.. It seems that you don't want to have a social life and all you want to do is work and work, just kidding! :chuckle It's a good thing though, at least you know where your career path is going to..
For other infos regarding MSN program of UERM, just log on to www.uerm.edu.ph.. Application forms and other needed documents can also be downloaded from their site..
If you have other questions, feel free to post them here.. :)

they also offer executive progrms, mondays to saturday 5- 10 pm for 2 weeks then another 2 weeks for online.. one thing i like with this executive program is youll study 1 subject a month... 2 weeks for live lectures and 2 weeks online.. 1 sem is 3months. 9 units/ sem.

Hi Taimanov! May I ask how long did you wait for your application to be approved by the Dean? Did you undergo some interview process? And how much would be the downpayment if the tuition fee for the whole sem is around 15k? Thanks in advance for your reply... :)
it depends... it can be within the day... or a week .. depends if the dean is busy...
no interview process... but you ll be needing recommendation letter from your previous professors.
i still cant enroll because the schedules are not yet available....
downpayment... im not sure how much.
you will pay 500 pesos for the application fee... and dont download their forms on the net... just get them straight to the deans office....

Taimanov.. thanks for the reply... By the way I just want to ask if UERMMC is very particular with the Board of rating? does it mean Report of Rating is the same with TOR? sorry.. but I don't have any idea with the policies of Graduate School of UERMMC.. and I'm planning to take the MSM Program with thesis..
How many recommendation letters do I really need to prepare for my application? I'm just a fresh graduate and without hospital experience.. Please help me my fellow nurses.. Still clueless about the procedure.. Thanks you very much in advance..
tor= school grades
report of rating= nle grades
2 recommendation letters =download at their website
