Linfield University - Master's Entry into Professional Nursing (MEPN) 2023

Published

Hey guys I didn't see a forum for the MEPN program for Spring 2023. I was wondering if anyone was thinking about applying, how many people are normally accepted, what tuition would look like and all that. Have you guys been applying to any other entry programs? What made you apply to Linfield?

Hey! Did you end up applying to this program? I interviewed a couple weeks ago for it and we are supposed to hear by sep 1st but just wondering if you or anyone else has heard already? I feel like they usually let those know earlier who were accepted and then release the denials on the day they say. But who knows! The wait is brutal.

I haven't heard back yet but I may accept a different program I was accepted to because it is cheaper. How did you like the interview process? It kind of seemed impersonal. Do you know anyone else already in the program? I am still left with so many questions regarding this one.

I so agree with you. The interview process wasnt what I thought it would be. It was fast paced and impersonal yes! I left it feeling okay but did not feel like my true self came through. And I wish I had more information about this program too. How much is it in total?! I have been applying to the BSN one for years but never accepted so I feel desperate and just want to get in anywhere ya know. I do not know anyone else in the program since its brand new but I have had many friends go through Linfields BSNs and they had good experiences.

Its about 107 or 115k from what I remember? Which is a lot for just MSN with no APRN certificate. I would have chosen Linfield because it is closer to home but I just did not like how I felt during the interview. There were so many people in it and yes I think I did well in the interview but did the interviewers really get to know me one on one? No. Then there is the fact that there was no room for questions at the end. Then it got me to thinking how big the class sizes are and if the curriculum would be impersonal too. How many people are accepted and how many really graduate at the end of the program? Have you thought about applying to other programs?

Hey! I also interviewed and still waiting to hear of a decision. My interview group was 4 (including me). How many were in both of yours? I also felt it to be impersonal and didn’t think they got to know me fully. I wanted to ask questions afterwards, but no opportunity to. I guess that’s what the info sessions were about? In any case, good luck to you guys! Hoping we all get into the programs we want.

I think mine had more than 4, I don't know the exact amount. Good luck to us all! Decisions should be out soon.

Yes good luck to you both! I think ide like to choose Linfield for a few different reasons but the price point is definitely not one of them. I have applied to others as well and have not heard back yet but so looking forward to the wait being over. ?

Anyone hear anything today yet?

nothing yet but I do have my student id displaying. I wonder what that means. What campus is the MEPN program again? And where do you guys plan to live if you get in?

Was the student ID displayed a few days ago or is this something new?

I think I recall that always being there? But not sure!
