Linfield University Masters Entry Into Professional Nursing (MEPN) 2024

Published

I'm starting this post to communicate with others who may have been accepted into the MEPN program through Linfield starting Jan 2024. Are you accepting? What are your thoughts on cost of the program and how much financial aid do you think will be offered? Any insight from current Linfield MEPN students is appreciated as well.

Hey there,

I also was accepted into the Linfield MEPN for Jan 2024. The financials are a massive thing for me in deciding which school to go to as the initial sticker price for the 15 months of this school is quite high. As great as this program is and as much I want to attend, the close to $100k in cost seems daunting. I haven't responded to the school yet on my decision until I see what the financial aid package looks like (sounds like they will be sent out 2 weeks after hearing about acceptance). I am unsure if they give much scholarship/financial aid. I wish there was a clearer way to get an idea of that. Right now I am leaning towards getting my ADN through the other school I was accepted to and bridging into a BSN or MSN later on. Even though it would take longer that route, the low cost makes it a little more attractive to me. Hopefully, we find out here soon! Best of luck with your decision process!

Hi! I am also worried about the cost of the program and I am wondering if you can just see what financial aid can offer before making the decision to accept? I was going to try to do my financial aid application and see if that was an option. Have you done the financial aid application yet?

To my understanding, you need to fill out the FAFSA form for Linfield ASAP if you haven't. From the acceptance letter it sounded like around 2 weeks after admissions were released, Financial Aid would be released and sent out to students. And you could see what the financial aid offer would look like before you accept or not. I think the last day to give an acceptance decision for the MEPN is October 1st. I did my FAFSA around the time we submitted applications some months ago. I would try to fill out your FAFSA as soon as you can and get it submitted for the school. I think this gives them more time for the school to send some sort of financial aid offer.

Do any of you remember the interview questions?
