Looking forward to starting school and meeting all of you.
For those of you who are on the wait list, hoping to get in and want to be prepared, the to do-list so far includes 1) MMR vaccines: 2 vaccines that are 1 month apart and a positive antibody titer for all three components 2) Varicella: 2 vaccines OR positive antibody titer 3) Hep B: 3 immunizations and positive antibody titer (2nd immunication 1 month after first, 3rd immunization 5 months after second, positive titer 6 weeks after 3rd immunization OR sign a waiver that limits your clinical placements 4) TB screening: 2 step test with second part between 1 and 3 weeks after first part OR IGRA blood test OR chest x-ray 5) TDap: immunization or booster within the last 10 years 6)Influenza: current vaccination for June-March flu season 7) CPR Certification: current BLS for healthcare providers through AMERCIAN HEART ASSOCIATION 8) Health Insurance: Proof of current health insurance 9) Health Physical : Linfield provides paperwork for your healthcare provider to fill out for this, so you may want to schedule an appointment for it closer to May.

Hi kbd3...I got in touch with Mindy earlier this week to ask about movement. Doesn't sound like there's been much yet, unfortunately. She said a lot of times people who intend to decline their offer just never contact the school, so they don't have a good idea of our likelihood of making it off the waitlist until it gets close to the deposit deadline (May 1st). She did let me know I'm in the top 20, but that doesn't mean much as of right now staying hopeful spots will open up for all of us though!
